I'll be taking a little break from blogging this week to prepare for and celebrate Thanksgiving. I hope you have a safe, memorable, and happy holiday with your family and friends.
But, one question before I go.
Do you like the cranberry jelly that schloorrppss out of the can and retains the shape and ridged of the can, or do you prefer the cranberry sauce with whole fruit, citrus, pecans, marshmallows, etc?

Happy Thanksgiving, Erica! I'm so thankful for the gift of your friendship.

ReplyDeleteI like cranberry sauce with whole cranberries sans marshmallows. The rest of the family likes the jelly. Nothing says Thanksgiving like shcloorpppss. Have a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteWhole fruit and I love me some oyster dressing!

I'm not partial to either, but especially not the one with all the crunchy bits in something that's clearly meant to be smooth and squishy. When my grandmother or my mother would put pecans or english walnuts into a jello salad, I recoiled at the horror and desecration!
ReplyDeleteI'm wholeheartedly with CJ (and we've never even met…by the way, CJ, when are you coming to Minnesota [we slew the dragons off just last year so you're safe there] except through Erica, and you know how whacky her perceptions can be): There need to be lots of schloorpppsss at Thanksgiving (oh boy! my spell-checker liked that word)
Happy Thanksgiving! Looking forward to mashed potatoes and memories :D
ReplyDeleteI gotta have some schloorppsss in my cranberries. My favorite is Mom's sweet potato souffle, though. It's not Thanksgiving without that. :)
ReplyDeleteReal cranberry sauce. Yum!
ReplyDeleteGosh I'm a schlump. I want the jelly in a can sorta sauce! yessiree bob!
ReplyDeleteWhen it's a spoonful beside my turkey I like the homemade whole berry kind of cranberry sauce, but nothing beats the jellied version spread on a sandwich of leftover turkey!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your blogging break and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Erica.
I like neither. I do like Cranberry juice, though. :)Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
