Bringing back the Friday Five

I've missed the Friday Five, so I'm bringing it back! :D

This week's Friday Five is:

Five things I did this week.

1. Embroidered the final quilt squares for the Red Cross Signature Quilt.

2. Visited some Civil War sites (more on that Monday.)

3. Gave a devotional at a baby shower.

4. Went to see Mr. Popper's Penguins at the movie theater.

5. Took delivery of some new research books and new textbooks for the coming school year.

How about you? What'd you do this week?

  1. Ran around in circles

  2. That's cool about the Red Cross quilt! I tried to adjust to being home after vacation and got back to work on a proposal.

  3. You've been busy! In a super cool way.

I've been working on my new WIP.
Started a new class at church, called F.O.R.W.A.R.D for new and growing believers.
Read Keli Gwyn's debut novel and you're right, I loved it!
And I drank a lot of coffee. LOL

  4. I finished reading Keli's novel, too! Good stuff! I also wrote several thousand words on my own novel and started organizing the closet in the basement.

  5. lol...I like CJ's answer! :)

    Going crazy at work.
    Got a replacement for a deteriorating filling...bleh!
Reading Keli Gwyn's book this week!!!!
Revised a few chapters of a new WIP.
Had dinner with a friend last night...awesomeness.

  6. Your week sounds much more productive than mine. At first thought I was inclined to say I did "nothing at all", but when I stop to think through the days there are several good "people" things.

    1. If I go back a full week I can include having 48 people from our church here for a BBQ last Saturday.
    2. Enjoyed an overnight visit from our son who was in the city for work.
    3. Had lunch and a visit with a friend and her daughter from WA.
    4. Doctored our dog's "hot spots" three times a day every day, and made the decision that his entry in the National Specialty Show next weekend will have to be forfeited. Ackkk!
    5. This afternoon I'll be hurrying between two neighbouring towns because I want to attend both the launch of Denise Jaden's second book, and then Cathy Ace's book signing.

Hope your weekend brings you some welcome rest and refreshment, Erica.
