The Friday Five

As I'm munching on a Twizzler, I got to thinking that Candy would make a fine Friday Five.
So, my five favorite candies (today)
1. Cherry Twizzlers. Pull and peel preferably, but the regular kind will do in a pinch.
2. Snickers. The second greatest candybar ever.
3. Reese's Peanut Butter cups. The GREATEST candy ever.
4. Peanut M&M's.
5. Watermelon Jolly Ranchers.
My favorite candies of yesteryear:
1. Marathon Bars.
2. Candy necklaces.
3. Pop Rocks.
4. Cherry Mashes.
5. Almond Joy.

  1. I love Almond Joy!

  2. I love the pic! My candy tastes differ depending on my mood. I really like the dark chocolate Lindsor truffles. They just melt in my mouth! My kids know to buy me those for birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day.

  3. Almond Joy is still one of my favs! And something you can't find around where I live, but Ryan's mom always brings them down to me when they come in town - Mallow Cups!!

I'll basically eat anything and everything chocolate. It is seriously not good how litle control I have when it comes to chocolate.

I love you Pop Rocks shout out! Another one of my favs growing up....Lick a Stick. Isn't that what they were called? Basically a packet of sugar and you put this white candied stick in and lick the sugar off?

  4. I love love love Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. They are my faves too. Lady, you have great taste :)

  5. lindt white chocolate truffles. awesomeness. however, if they could find a way to make a peanut butter truffle as smooth and creamy as their other truffles, then life would be decadently wonderful. (reeses cups will work just fine until lindt figures out the market for my idea.)

  6. I love everything chocolate--especially Snickers! Weight Watchers ice cream candy bars are wonderful with chocolate, peanut butter, carmel...Mmmmmmmm

  7. I'd say you have good taste!! favorite candy is probably a toss-up between Twizzlers and jelly beans. :)

  8. Twizzlers are one of my favorites too. Nuts as well.

  9. As much as I love chocolate for chocolate's sake, I do love Snickers and Peanut Butter Cups. When they came out with the Dark Chocolate Milky Way bar, that was a real delight. Almond Joy and Mounds? Add any coconut to chocolate and all you have is chocolate wasted. Also, don't know if they make'em anymore, but Charleston Chew bars were really good (usually for pulling out loose teeth and old fillings!)

  10. Wow Erica - we really have the same taste - my top five would be the exact same as yours! Yummmm

  11. I am in agreement with Kevin. Putting coconut in chocolate is a waste of perfectly good chocolate. For that matter, putting most nuts or lots of caramel is also a waste of perfectly good chocolate. The only nuts I like in my chocolate are hazelnuts and peanuts.

    1: Ghirardelli milk chocolate squares
    2: Reese's
    3: Whopper's
    4: 3 Musketeers
    5: Snickers
