Fistful of Mondays

This last week had at least FOUR Mondays in it. Everything from snafus at the pharmacy to being unable to get a raincheck at KMart for the ONE thing my husband asked me to pick up for him.
But this is a whole new week, and even though today is Monday, it's going along pretty well.
This passage from Psalm 107 has brought me comfort of late:
1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
3 And gathered out of the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way;
They found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty,
Their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And He led them forth by the right way,
That they might go to a city for a dwelling place.
8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

  1. No matter how many Mondays in a week, sooner or later a Tuesday comes along. Glad this week has started out better for you.

  2. Amen!

I hear you on the Monday thing. It's so wonderful when those times pass =)

  3. I remember a Garfield cartoon where they said something like: "Monday...the day invented to make the rest of the week seem good." lol. Sometimes that's true, but my mom keeps reminding me that the Lord makes everyday, and that includes Mondays. ^_^
