The Friday Five

The Friday Five this week is:
Five things I should be doing instead of blogging:
1. Cleaning my bathroom. YUCK!
2. Looking for extra layers to put on while I do inventory at the shop this afternoon.
3. Shoveling snow. YUCK!
4. Giving a geometry test.
5. Doing triage on my novel.
How about you? What do you blog/surf/IM to avoid doing?

  1. I came to read the Friday Five while taking a long break from addressing envelopes. I cleaned the kitty litter box. Read a Chip story and now a Heath story.

  2. Good question. I suppose I don't want to fold laundry for the hundredth time this week. Or do dishes. Ugh. Playing online is way more fun!

  3. I won't blog until I get home and I am very VIRTUOUSLY commenting after having done edits for two hours, got online to find an address so that I can go buy and envelope and mail and ebay sale.

But there are probably a zillion things I SHOULD be doing--like 8 laps around the school lot which is a mile--maybe in a bit.

  4. Great question. Mostly I pop online when I'm stuck on my WIP. It helps to save the surfing the web thing for when I'm watching TV in the evenings (I use a laptop in my recliner). I am VERY good at finding excuses for not doing what I need to do--cleaning house today, for instance. Gotta run--we have company coming this weekend.

  5. It helps me avoid sleeping! I'm usually up early (around 4 a.m.) and blogging or jotting notes for a post later in the day, but yep, sleep. It's amazing how much sleep can interfere with your day.

Not too mention having back pain that only hurts when you breathe... that seems to interfere with everything, even blogging!

  6. Hm, paying bills, folding laundry, cleaning the kitchen, sleeping . . .
